A Survey on Joint Communication-Radar Systems

Concerns for spectrum congestion have spurred extensive research efforts on efficient management. Therefore, devising schemes sharing between radar and wireless communication systems has become an important area of research. Joint communications-radar (JCR) are among the several approaches proposed to achieve this objective. In JCR systems, additional components processes added existing standardized platform enable functions. Moreover, waveform is used as integrated waveform, i.e., same signal communicate information a receiver perform detection estimation operations nearby target. The most common application found in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) scenarios. article, overview methods presented, with focus automotive other applications.
